Review: Meaneor Women Lined Hooded Softshell Waterproof Jacket Outdoor Winter Raincoat

I ordered this jacket in green.  I find it to run a bit small in the shoulders and tight in the arms (I'm a size 4/6 and I bought a medium).  I would definitely size up.  I wasn't crazy about how long the cuffs are.  I folded them over.  It is a decently warm jacket as it is fleece-lined.  Get yours HERE!

Review: Meaneor Women Long Sleeve Pullover V Neck Vintage Button Tunic Sweatshirt Hoodie

I love this tunic-style hoodie!  It is well made and very comfortable.  I love that it's long enough to cover my rear when I wear leggings, and it's got a pocket so I'm not missing those in my leggings, either!  It's available in Black, Dark Blue, Red, and Wine Red.  I like it so much that I got two, the blue and wine!  Get yours HERE!

Review: Meaneor Women Long Sleeve Hood Stripped Pullover Jacket Sweatshirt W/ Thumb Hole

I love this sweatshirt so much!  It's a great weight and roomy enough to wear some layers under, too.  I love that it has a hood (you can't tell from the stock photos).  And the lace-up detail is great!  I did remove the hoodie string because it felt superfluous.  The thumb holes are an added bonus!  I got so many compliments on this today!  At present, it comes in grey, blue, and black.  Get yours HERE!

Review: Meaneor Women's Lightweight Hoodie

Meaneor sent me this hoodie to review!  I like it a lot.  It runs true to size, and it's cute and comfy.  At the time of this review, it comes in three colors: black, blue, and wine red (pictured).  I got the red one, and it's a really great color that goes with a lot of stuff.  Get your HERE!

Every Kid is an Asshole... And That's OK

Tonight my teenage neighbor had what is probably to be the first of many fights to come with a boyfriend.  She's got a special place in my heart, and I think she's the only person who knows me and still thinks I'm cool.  Ultimately once this is posted, I'm leaving it up to her parents if they want her to read it because they're pretty cool, too... at least by my standards, probably not by a teenager's. ;)

I've thought to myself for a while now and expressed to a few select people that all teenagers are assholes.  They laugh and deny that their kids are because they're good kids, and really they are, so I would like to take a bit to expand upon this.  It's not just teenagers who are assholes, it's kids in general.  I was an asshole.  My husband was an asshole.  My son will be an asshole.  You were an asshole (I hope you aren't still).

Aside from learning math and history, a big part of going to school is interacting with other assholes, and it's a really important part of life.  Why?  Because it lets other people show you how to not be an asshole.  And how to deal with the ones who don't grow out of it like the majority of people do.  Kids don't know how not to be selfish yet.  Kids don't really know where they fit in in society.  Every kid pushes their boundaries every single day.  Growing up is a giant experiment where you're constantly trying to figure out what works.

So, neighbor, it's OK to be upset with someone because you're both still learning; you're teaching each other.  This doesn't mean you have to always put up with assholery; your friends should be learning from their actions just as you are.  It's hard to look at it when you feel like you're just trying to deal and try to figure out who was right and who was wrong sometimes because deep down you're both assholes.  It happens to everyone, and everyone does it, too.  You're learning what secrets to keep, how to treat each other right, and how to handle disappointment so you'll grow out of assholery.

And hopefully by the time you're done with school you'll have it figured out.  Keep learning.  Everyone sucks sometimes.

Calvin Klein: Eternity Now Perfume & Cologne Review

I was sent samples of Calvin Klein's Eternity Now perfume and aftershave to review with Influenster.  I had gotten away from wearing scents because the hair product I was using had a good one, but that product has since gotten out of my price range, so I am excited to start looking into perfumes again.

They describe the Eternity Now perfume as "a bright addictive floral."  I find it to be rather overwhelming as a scent and I have bad allergies.  I can't imagine how heady it would be to someone without them.  I tried to wash it off at lunchtime because I couldn't stand to wear it while eating, but I couldn't get it all to go.  What was left is much less overpowering, but still more noticeable than I would like, which is a shame because I do genuinely like it, it just needs to be less strong.

The men's aftershave is described by Calvin Klein as "a youthful burst of energy balanced by exotic woods."  This scent is much more subtle and I really like it a lot.  Like, enough to buy it to douse my husband in.  It has vague hints of spice that I enjoy a lot.

Apple & Eve Purely Organics Juice Review

I was sent these juices from Apple & Eve and Influenster for review purposes.  We received a one liter bottle of organic Orange Pineapple juice and one juicebox each of Razzberry Apple Splash, Fruit Punch Burst, and Berrylicious Lemonade.  Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of the Orange Pineapple or the Razzberry Apple Splash because my husband apparently doesn't understand that I need to do things like that when I make reviews.

Wiggle is now 22-months-old and was delighted to get juice boxes!  He sucked them right down and thought that they were great fun!

I tasted the Orange Pineapple and the Fruit Punch Burst myself and feel that they are not as flavorful as other juices that we usually buy.  They do, however, have 50% less sugar than most other brands, and I generally water down Wiggle's juice anyway so that he has a lower sugar intake.  Below you can see the ingredients and nutritional facts for Apple & Eve's Orange Pineapple juice.  I was surprised to see that there was carrot juice in it, which is a great bonus because it is a pain in the butt to get Wiggle to eat his veggies!
